Classroom Expectations
We will be using a colored “clip chart” to monitor our behavior and our choices. Your second grader will have a clip that they will physically move up or down the chart, depending on their behavior choices for the day. The chart below explains how the clip chart works. I believe this will be a positive way for students to monitor their choices and will give them behavior goals to strive for. Daily Conduct will be noted in your child's agenda.
Queen/King Bee: Outstanding! If you move to Purple you have made good choices, gone above and beyond the class expectations, and have just been awesome! You’ll get to go to the treasure box!
Un "bee" lieveably Awesome: Awesome Day! Made Great Choices if you are on Pink two times in a row you can go to the Treasure Box!
Sweet as Honey: You've made some smart choices and landed on Blue then you had a great Day! Three more of these and you get to go to the Treasure Box!
In A Buzz to Learn: Ready to Learn! You will get to start out each day on Green. You will move your clip up or down depending on your choices each day.
"BEE" Careful: If you receive a warning, you will move your clip down to Yellow to help you remember to “slow Down” and think about your choices.
Time Away From the HIve: If you continue to make poor choices, you will move to Orange and be given a "bounce" slip or time to reflect on your behavior choices. If you stay on this path you will receive a consequence.
Buzz Parents: If you still choose to make bad decisions, you will move to Red. You will receive another consequence and complete a behavior form. You will also get a note or phone call home.
Please Note: Any color above Green is an O. Green is an S. Yellow is S-. Orange is N. Red is U.
Our Class Rules:

2.Follow directions quickly.
3. Raise your hand to speak or stand.

5. Make Smart Choices.
